Wine Tours
Vienna and its wine by walking or by bus tour
Since the Romans came to Vienna, wine growers have settled here too.The Roman emperor Probus contributed a lot to the wine growing history as he allowed his soldiers to own a vineyard after ending their service. Vienna, as a capital city, has one of the biggest number of vineyards within the city boarders in the world till today. We will visit the smallest vineyard in Vienna, we will learn about the typical Viennese Wine „Gemischter Satz“, we will get to know how Viennese wine was used during the construction of St. Stephen’s Cathedral and much more.
Let’s visit Grinzing, Neustift und Stammersdorf, all oft them parts of Vienna and learn all about the „Heuriger“, which can be wine by itself, or a tavern, where the wine is served. Enjoy with me not only the view over Vienna but also of Vienna‘s best and most precious vineyards from the hills „Cobenzl“ and „Kahlenberg“.
